Kevin Aspin MRICS - Director

Kevin is a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer with over 35 years’ experience in the property industry having began his career in Local Government. He set up Aspin and Company in August 2012 and is proud to be at the helm of a Company that has grown to ten employees since providing services in a wide range of public and private sector clients nationwide. Kevin has particular expertise in Valuation, Commercial lease advisory, Compulsory Purchase and Compensation and Property Development. He also lectures Valuation, Statutory Valuation and Asset Management at the University of Salford, whilst having lectured across a number of Universities for over 20 years. Kevin also part owns Surveyor Support Limited which is a Training Company providing training for property professionals throughout Europe. In his limited spare time, he enjoys heritage railways and cherished buildings, as well as the odd spin class.

Matthew Iceton MRICS - Chartered Surveyor | RICS Registered Valuer

Matthew has been with the company for nine years following his postgraduate masters degree in Real Estate & Property Management at Salford University, where he attained a Distinction. Shortly after, Matthew qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer with specialisms in residential and commercial valuation, lease advisory, commercial property management, building pathology, compulsory purchase order and other statutory valuation, as well as valuation for financial accounting. When not working, Matthew will likely be found somewhere in the hills with his three dogs, Isla, Raven and Swift, who often visit our office as well.

David Hagerty MRICS - Consultant Chartered Surveyor | RICS Registered Valuer

Following a successful 30 year career with Tameside Council as a Senior Estates Officer, David began consulting to Aspin & Co. in 2012. He specialises in valuation, management of commercial land and property, landlord and tenant, acquisition and disposal. David also specialises in residential Asset and Beacon valuation work leading on all projects for Local Authorities and Housing Associations such as Barnsley and Rotherham Borough Council.

Bethan Williams BSc (Hons) - Graduate Surveyor

Bethan graduated from the University of Salford in 2019 and is currently undertaking her APC having joined the company in 2020. Bethan carries out a range of work for residential and commercial properties, including Market Valuations, Help to Buy Valuations, Shared Ownership Valuations, along with Residual Valuations, Rent Reviews and Pension Fund Valuations. In her spare time, Bethan enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as keeping active whilst exploring the outdoors with her dog, Cassie.

Pablo Periano - Graduate Surveyor

Pablo is a professionally qualified Industrial Civil Engineer with an MSc in Real Estate and Property Management from the University of Salford and an MBA, bringing over twenty years of international experience across the full real estate development lifecycle. His career includes the delivery of more than 1,177 residential units internationally, combining strong technical, financial and stakeholder management expertise with a commercially robust, evidence-based approach. His background spans land acquisition, feasibility analysis, funding, construction delivery and post-completion management across a wide range of residential schemes. He is currently working full-time in the UK as a Surveyor, specialising in residential and commercial valuations, development appraisals, land and asset valuations, rent reviews, inspections and formal reporting.

Oliver Taylor - Apprentice Surveyor

Oliver joined the company in September 2022 under the Degree Apprentice route at the University of Salford, where he is currently in his fourth year of the Real Estate Development and Management Degree. Over the years, Oliver has gained confidence in residential and commercial valuations, executing a range of work including various Market and Rental Property Valuations, Land Valuations, Residual Valuations, Rent Reviews and Insurance Reinstatement Valuations. Outside of work, Oliver is a keen supporter of Manchester City and enjoys travelling.

Robyn Simpson - Apprentice Surveyor

Robyn was warmly welcomed to Aspin and Company in late 2025 and is currently the newest member of our team. She operates as a first-year apprentice within the company and often undertakes work for residential properties. This includes rental assessments and Right to Buy/Right to Acquire valuations, though also extends to land valuations. Additionally, Robyn is a student at Salford University and is currently working towards her degree in Real Estate and Property Management. Beyond her work roles, she can often be found travelling with family and friends.

Julie Stringer - Office Manager

Julie is the longest serving staff member of the Company after joining us in 2016 following over 30 years’ service at the Local Authority. Before joining the company, Julie held various roles throughout her career, ranging from positions in law and community safety, to project management. Her role within Aspin and Company is to oversee the smooth running of the office and its staff, serving as the head of administration at Aspin and Company. She has responsibility for finances and day to day running of the Company. In her spare time Julie is a black belt karate instructor and enjoys swimming, Pilates and going on holiday for some much-needed rest, relaxation and sunshine.

Katie Brazewell - Administrative Assistant

Katie joined the Company in August 2022 as an administrative assistant, providing high-quality customer care and organisational support. Her role largely comprises handling administrative operations within the office, such as coordinating appointments and liaising with clients to ensure the whole team runs smoothly, alongside Sue and Julie. With a background in managing private day care facilities, Katie brings strong organisational and customer experience to her role. Outside of work, she is an active member of her local women’s cricket team.

Sue Cooper - Administrative Assistant

Sue has an extensive career background in Estate Agency and Accountancy and joined the company in 2021. She works alongside Katie to manage day-to-day administrative operations, supporting both customers and clients. Sue is highly organised and excels at coordinating appointments for the surveyors. In addition, she assists with arranging internal activities such as team meetings and events, while also serving as the main point of contact for staff on issues such as time management and office support. Sue is an avid supporter of Blackpool FC and enjoys travelling to watch games with her family.
